Description
Anton Heyboer (1924 – 2005) was a Dutch painter and printmaker. He trained as a draughtsman before engaging in his artistic career and this had an influence artwork. Heyboer is known for his landscape a figurative works executed in a highly idiomatic style where the human figure is rendered in an almost cartoon like way. His work of the 1960s was purchased by the MoMa in New York and exhibited at Documenta in Kassel. In 1975, his work was presented at the LACMA in Los Angeles alongside David Hockney and Lucian Freud.
