Description
Kenojuak Ashevak (1927 – 2013) was one of Canada’s most acclaimed graphic artists. As a pioneer of Inuit art, and the first Inuit woman in Cape Dorset to begin drawing, Kenojuak’s works were included in many annual print collections since 1959. Kenojuak worked across a range of media including drawing, sculpture, stonecut prints and engravings.
