Description
Bio: Sorel Etrog (1933 – 2014) was a Romanian-born Israeli-Canadian artist, writer, and philosopher best known for his work as a world-renowned artist and sculptor. While much of Etrog’s work appears abstract, it often alludes to the figure or the human form. The theme which encompasses Etrog’s practice is the integrity of the human body in an industrialized world. His mixed media works on paper often show experimental use of various materials such as spray paint, pastel, ink, pencil et., all done in preparation for new sculpture series. His works are represented in major capitals and cities all over the world including Barbara Edwards Gallery in Toronto.
