Description
Through the pronounced use of reflection, light, shadow and trompe l'oeil realism, Malcolm Rains creates a mystical or conceptual connection with the viewer. Born in England, Malcolm Rains emigrated to Canada in 1955. After studies in architecture at the University of Toronto and University of Detroit, he completed a degree at the Ontario College of Art. Rains' work is held in private, corporate and public collections including the Art Gallery of Hamilton and Global Affairs Canada.
